Okay so Dumbledore is a very beloved character of the HP series, who is the head master of hogwarts. He's kinda like a mentore to harry in the series, and he's a very sweet old man.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER And around the end of the half blood prince, he died. Snape killed him for Draco. Its a very terrible and sading seen in the books, during which i'll admit that I cried during my first reading of it. In the last HP book there's alot of stuff about him when he was younger. END OF SPOILER
When someone here said about how the pitchforks would come out if they changed it mean't that harry potter fans don't take well to book changes. at all. And if they made that big of a change then I'm pretty sure most of the fan base would start a huge riot and boycott.

Maybe you should put a little spoiler thing there.

Geez, smoothmoves, you have to read Harry Potter... Wait a year, then say, "Mom, Dad, Harry's my age right now. And he wants me to read about him. A lot. And I want to read about him. I promise I won't Avada Kedavra you. Or anyone else. Please?"

Re: best book turned movie?
Howl's Moving Castle. I think Miyazaki made the movie WAY better than the book. The book was too complicated, and I didn't find it too interesting.

I remember I had the best time seeing it in theaters... My favorite Miyazaki was probably Princess Mononoke, but you probably wouldn't be allowed to watch it. Have you seen any Miyazakis?
I saw the book at Borders, so I picked, it up. Like I said before, it was okay.

I love Miyazaki even though i have only seen two of his movies: Ponyo and Castle In The Sky, the latter being one of my all time favorite movies.

You have to see Spirited Away. It's for children, and not really for adults. Well, not only for adults. Oh, and My Neighbor Totoro.
Ponyo was good, but I was kind of disappointed about "The Test". I thought it would be like, his mother or Ponyo, but it was just a bunch of questions.

Re: best book turned movie?
Yeah. The only bad thing about Ponyo was that the only version I could find online was the Japanese version, so I had to read subtitles. =P

Well normally when I watch a movie I don't really watch it, I am on other tabs posting on my blog or playing games or doing quizzes or whatever because... well, I can't really sit still and watch something.

for me, i hate subtitles because ur are only paying attention to what the ppl are saying instead of what they r doing on the screen.

Re: best book turned movie?
Yeah, it depends on the word size for me. When I see subtitled films at a movie theater it's awesome, but when I see one on dvd I am often squinting trying to figure out what the word is.
