Percy Jackson--myth analyzation Empty Percy Jackson--myth analyzation

okay so the title says it all: percy was named after Perseus, the hero in greek mythology. Perseus killed Medusa and also had winged sandals. the "cap of darkness" is Annabeth's cap of invisibility. They were many things also that relate Percy to Perseus. But in the end, Perseus gets killed by Dionysus. now, what do you think could happen to Percy in the next series of "Heroes of Olympus". I'm not necessarily saying he's going to get killed by Dionysus, but anything that relates to the Perseus myth could happen in the next series.

post what you think!!

Now that's a fresh new theory I haven't heard before, and also in TLO Dionysus says that they aren't over. But Dionysus was Zeus's son and so was Perseus, but Percy is Posidon's song so what if he is killed by another posidon's son ie. Triton?

Percy Jackson--myth analyzation Empty Re: Percy Jackson--myth analyzation

Hmm... interesting theory. Actually, I think that this may be a coincidence as Persues was actually Zeus's son. Percy was named after him, sure. But why would Posiedon name his son after a hero that was Zeus's son. Who by the way, killed the monster that Poseidon had sent after Andromeida, you know for a sacrifise.

Is it possible that there is something else there? Something that isn't related to Percy's death, but something against Zeus?

Mind you, I don't think Poseidon to be like that, but what if, long ago, Kronos had something to do with our Jackson hero's name? If it was Kronos's influence, that is still flowing through Poseidon's immortal veins? What if something is going to happen to Zeus? Or could happen to Zeus?

Just something to think about.

Share your thought, I would love to hear them!

yea, these are very interesting ideas. okay so theories could be combined with the mythologic blood, but how about the mix into demigods? what could seperate them and the real world?

these are the questions of the reality...jk:)
