Change the water regularly, like everyday. Throw the excess water away. It isn't good for plants. Well, that's what the pet shop guy said to me, anyway. Do NOT tap the glass, it causes some kind of reaction in them, oh and feed them as directed by the person. Or if they don't tell you, then three times a day at equal times. make sure to get those air things or whatever they keep in a fish bowl. It releases oxygen in the water, it helps the fishes. Turn it off after 15 minutes. Oh, and best of luck! Razz

I am SO sorry that your fish died!! Maybe you should try to get a bigger tank..... goldfish need 2 gallons of water per every inch of their body. I hope your next fish lasts longer!

Goldfish die easily from trauma. The shock of being transported in the plastic bag, or if your water has a lot of chlorine in it, can be enough to kill them. Fish won at fairs are notorious for dying quickly.

I never knew that, maybe that's why I can't keep my goldfish alive for longer than 5 days at a time.
