ok i really don tthink rick will kill the character he's grown as an author with. think about it.

i think it would be really awesome if nico died after finding out about his past and passing it on to his child. i doubt it will happen, but it would be freakin awesome if it did

Death? No...

Post by Mark Dimiond on Sat Feb 06, 2010 4:18 am

We all know that he could never kill of any of the big charecters! Not after all they've been through! Not after all that we have been through! I agree with demi...gawd! about how he may kill a minor charecter... I guess we will just have to wait and see...

but then again, if all of the fans think that the main characters won't die, rick riordan might surprise us by killing the main characters- though i doubt it

Oh I think he could kill off some main characters. Remember a heroes fate is rarely a happy ending. I guarentee that at least the second string character - Clarisse etc could get the ax (or the sword as it were).

I really hope that the major characters get the axe (Percy, Grover, Annebeth). I know that I sound really evil , but the reason why I want this is because that way is because it would be a very painful reminder that It's very dangerous to be a demigod (you know how Rick Riordan is always like demigods die all the time? Well, nobody buys that, including me, because none of the main characters die [a that wouldn't happen to me thing going on here]. If Rick killed the main characters, that would convinse allot of people that It's way to dangerous).

I agree with Christof. I didn't say it last post but my money is on Annabeth to get killed. Not only would we be losing a beloved character; Percy would be losing his love. A devestating thing - and then he would have to find the will to go on.

I agree with Claresse being a uhh... potensial death, but I don't think he would seriously kill off annabeth... right!? I don't want her to die... He did kill beckondorf, or am I remembering wrong? I sort of think that he's going to just start with a pretty clean slate on his next series, minus the new oracal... I think Percy and his buds are just going to be another story that ends up in the attic of the big house...

Yes, you are right that Beckendorf died, so did Selena Beauregard, Micheal Yew, and Luke. Not many who we knew for how dangerous the life of a half-blood was suppose to be. That is why with this new Prophecy it looks like needs to be more bloody.

UUHH... Is it just me, or is it a LITTLE early to be predicting deaths? I mean, the series isn't even OUT yet.

i sort of agree, because people won't just drop dead in the first series (unless they are a big, mean, ugly, scary monster. then, you go BOOM). but i think that the group of seven that the prophecy was made from will start out as 11 and then they begin to die out.

Re: Deaths in the next series?

I pick Chiron to die. According to Greek Mythology Heracles slew Chiron during his 4th labour with a poisioned arrow, though immortal at the time Chiron suffered due to the poison and in his pain surrendered his immortality.

Well seeing as Percy has gone and done every one of Heracles 12 labours guess Chiron can die now by being shot by accident.. and if that happens Percy would probably take over running the Camp i would think... then that puts him in position next series to be a key character but not a main one.

So that is Chiron's Death and why.

I think in the event of Chiron's death, which i DO NOT welcome, Grover would be the more likely condidate to take over.

Well he is immortal and has 50 years left on his "grounding", so unlikely unless the story is set quite a while in the future.

I think they should feature a new god, one without all that annoyingness, like Apollo or someone similar.

Apollo was just off the top of my head, but he is better than most other gods.
