they NEED a major charcter to day, just for plot. The thing that made HP popular was the realism in the fact that people DIE. Im not saying the series was realistic just that aspect of the series. So for the sake of the plot I hope a major/beloved character dies.

Yeah... Cause if no one important dies... then how does the author build sympathy? I like it when that happens because then I can let my jaw drop and go "NO WAY IS THAT CHARACTER REALLY DEAD. OMIGOSH?!?!?!"
and I can feel sad and stuff .

If Percy dies, then Annabeth will be sad for the whole rest of her life, and if Annabeth dies, Percy will be sad for the whole rest of his life.
