They need to promote the SOM more cause we only ever see advertising on the TV nowhere else, needs more versatility.

Sea of Monsters - I think it'll be a movie
Hey, I'm pretty sure that the Sea of Monsters will be made. See it said on the home page that it has only made 82 million, but actually it has made over 203 million. You can't forget about foreign theatres! WE ROCKED IT MAN! Saw it twice already, planning to see it again (: I think that it is a definite yes for the Sea of Monsters! (:

Re: SEA OF MONSTERS - LOOKING GOOD
I think they still have stuck to the book, maybe then they could get more of the regular PJO book fans to watch it, and then they could get it to be more popular. I guess they were aiming for everyone, and like riczhang said, a more mature audience.

Well they've maid 216,719,000 dollars world wide, and based on studios taking 55% of the final gross, which is 119,195,450, they have already made 21,195,450 which isn't bad considering movie based on the most current and most popular book ever makes on average 50-150 million dollars, and that's if they are lucky.

Re: SEA OF MONSTERS - LOOKING GOOD
The thing is if its budget was $95 million and its profit was $200 million (I'm assuming this is actual profit not just overall sales, which needs the budget to be minuses) Then to put it bluntly i think it unlikely they will make a second film. They barely doubled their expenditure, that is not quite the kind of profit they are looking for. The question is not whether we think it was an acceptable profit but rather if the backers who might be consulted on the next film think they stand to gain much from it.

But the movie hasn't finished showing yet, they could make upwards to 50 million on the movie, and you don't know exactly what the budget is and what is the % they'll make. For all we know the budget could be 50 million and they make a 75% share which would be around 100 million dollar gain.

oohh ahhh
--they say that the lightning thief is an epic film (not based on the statics, but overall)
-imagine what will happen in SOM, will they change up the story like LT? or make it better based on the book like they did with New Moon?

They should change the story up because the film was infinitely better than the book and better than any film I've seen.(except the devil wears prada)

Re: SEA OF MONSTERS - LOOKING GOOD
It would be great if they made Sea Of Monsters into a movie! And stuck more to the book along with it... but now the actors and actresses will be too old... and they would have to do the Hydra again. And who will play Tyson? Probably he'll be CGI.
