i think he killed luke so he could get the point across that even if luke was controlled by kronos, he was still the same luke inside, and that luke died a hero.. so ya

Re: Questions for Rick:
What I would ask him is if he co-wrote the screenplay, why are there so many non-book elements in the movie? Was he able to discuss the age change with Chris columbus and how that would affect the story line for future movies?

It depends though, cause another series I know the author is the screen writer, so he can control over the movie, but if the author's only is the role of the author, then Rick probably won't have much control over the movie.

Re: Questions for Rick:
It comes down to the terms at the time of the sale of the book rights. JJ Rowling had the forsight to keep much of the creative control on the movie rights because she had the 7 school years already roughed out and did not altering the movie story to clash with future books and the story line. Case in point they were going to do away with Dobby and then Creature, in the 2nd annd 5th movies.
If Rick was able to keep some control, he'll have some of the say for #2.

Yeah but the books are already finished unless he's goign to fight for the storyline to continue correctly in the 2nd series, cause I know that JK Rowling gave an outline of the series for the producers I think.
