Rick Riordan-master behind Percy

Rick is the one who has made the charecter, Percy. He has brought the ancient Greek myths into the 21st Century to teach kids more about Greek mythology. I was just wondering if this was orignally his idea? Sure, Percy jackson was his, but what about the Greek myths becoming true? Was it another author's idea and he added on to it or changed it up? Its like what Stephanie Meyers kind of did with Anne Rice; the idea wasen't originally hers, but she made it much better into Twilight. I just want to know what yall think of it.

It's a good point, Tink. Although, as far as I'm aware, Rick's ideas are original. I mean, he made the PJO series for his dyslexic/ADHD son, so that seems fairly original to me.

Yeah i agree with Pendragon. Unless he made up the whole thing with his son, but he's too good a person to do that. =P
