Hunters of Artemis

Just wondering what you thought of the roles the girls play in PJO, and Why did Rick Riordan add Zoe??

idk why he added Zoe, and i think that the role of Annabeth was a bit different because she wanted to be a Hunter

yeah i agree... with the brochure and all... i think that rick riordan added zoe to show how brave the hunters can be and they can die to save others

Annabeth never WANTED to be a huntress. She was CONSIDERING it in book 3- A Titans Curse, Percy saw the brochure she had. Then on Mt. Olympis after Artemis had been saved, it was the winter soltice, and Percy was freaking because he thought she would be asked to replace Zoe. Thalia was asked instead thus eliminating her from the prophecy.
The hunters play an important role in Last Olympian and Zoe was an ancient tie to Artemis and Atlas, and of course Hercules.
Although the female gods play a lesser role on Mt. Olympis to their older brothers. Rick showed that female demi-gods or mortals played a very important role in both the Olympian world and the real world.

wow i never really noiced that- but that is a really good point. that is really cool how rick riordan fit that all in into the voilent that happens in the Last Olympain

When you think of Hestia giving up her throne to Dionysus to prevent a civil war between the gods and thus decreased her power, showing her love of hearth, family, and peace over power. Rick showed women are strong and powerful in whatever role they had. The human mothers had the task of raising their half-blood children and keeping them safe until they were old enough to go to camp. Only mortal women were chosen to be the Oracle of Delphi. Wow think of Rachel Elizabeth Dare as the Oracle and at Camp Half-blood in the summer. The Red Pyramid looks good but give me the next Olympian series.
