I think that Beckendorf should've lived. It was so cruel for Selena to lose him so soon after coming together with him finally.

It was sad to see Beckendorf die, but if he hadn't Selina would have never turned and done her part in the Last Olympian. In all honesty I don't believe that there were enough heroes that died. For that type of epic battle there should have been more demigod carnage.
