Who do you want to/will win the World Cup
FIFA WORLD CUP PREDICTIONS
So I though that now the world cup is starting, I'd start a thread about it:
So the question is who do you want to win or think will win the world cup?
For me it is France or England.

I say England, just because I've got strong British blood in me.

Re: FIFA WORLD CUP PREDICTIONS
No-one mentioning the USA??? Lol, come on England!
By the way Spain are by far and away the favorites, and the Netherlands aren't bad either.

Yes 6/1 odds for Spain 7/1 for Brazil and 8/1 for England, ad 6/1 for either Germany for France.

Re: FIFA WORLD CUP PREDICTIONS
Sorry for the double post but here is my detailed prediction:
The bolded team(s) that move on to the next round or win.
Group Stage:
Group A:
1Uruguay
2France
3Mexico
4South Africa
Group B:
1Argentina
2South Korea
3Nigeria
4Greece
Group C:
1England
2Slovenia
3United States
4Algeria
Group D:
1Germany
2Ghana
3Serbia
4Australia
Group E:
1Netherlands
2Denmark(Very slim lead over Japan, Japan could very easily be the one that goes on
3Japan
4Cameroon
Group F:
1Italy
2Paraguay
3Slovakia
4New Zealand
Group G:
1Brazil
2North Korea (Judging by their defense in hte match against Brazil, could tie with Portugal, beat Cote d'Ivoire and move on)
3Portugal(early knockout of the World Cup)
4Cote d'Ivoire
Group H:
1Chile
2Spain(Just squeeze in)
3Switzerland
4Honduras
Round of 16:
Uruguay vs. South Korea
England vs. Ghana
Netherlands vs. Paraguay
Brazil vs. Spain(Sorry Brazil but I think Spain can get its act together)
Argentina vs. France
Germany vs. Slovenia
Italy vs. Denmark (The aging Italians will have to give over to the Danes)
Chile vs. North Korea (The North Korean's shocker run will end here)
Quarter-finals:
Uruguay vs. England(This should be a relatively easy win for the three lines compared to what is down the road)
Netherlands vs. Spain ( Holland is good but not quite as good as the Spaniards)
Argentina vs. Germany (Going to go on a limb and say that Germany's run is over.... I would hope otherwise but that's what I think is going to happen.)
Denmark vs. Chile(After an easy pairing in the round of 16 the Danes will topple)
Semi-finals:
England vs. Spain(I support England so I'll be a bit biased, after a hard game tied at 1-1 the three lions will win in the penalty)
Argentina vs. Chile(That's definitely the Argentinians match to loose.)
Third Place:
Spain vs. Chile (The largest soccer playing nation to never win the world cup will fall short once again)
Finals:
England vs. Argentina (Once again I'm biased but honestly I don't think that the Argentinians are really that good this year. Sure they are better than most teams even those who are ranked higher, but England just barely gets the win. Once again on the penalty. Finally give the three lions something to talk about besides something that happened 44 years ago.)

Re: FIFA WORLD CUP PREDICTIONS
France are out now, they were terrible and are flying back in economy class. USA are through, finishing above England in the group, and they play Ghana in the next round, which they should win. Uruguay play South Korea in the next round which Uruguay should win. England get through to play GERMANY (!!!!!!!!!!) , which ermm... we might #cough#lose #cough#. Argentina got through to play Mexico, which they should win. If England do beat Germany, we get to play the winners of Argentina vs Mexico, YAY!!!...

Re: FIFA WORLD CUP PREDICTIONS
Compared to Ronaldo, Messi, Klose, Kaka or Villa, he just doesn't seem as confident or sure-footed. Lampard played well for us today, which didn't happen in the last two matches, so maybe thats the answer. In any case the whole team needs to get better very quickly because Germany beckons!

He is the former England captain, and he is in South Africa, but he isn't playing due to an injury. He is married to Victoria Beckham, also known as posh spice lol...
