Yeah... Cause if no one important dies... then how does the author build sympathy? I like it when that happens because then I can let my jaw drop and go "NO WAY IS THAT CHARACTER REALLY DEAD. OMIGOSH?!?!?!"
and I can feel sad and stuff Deaths in the next series? - Page 2 Icon_sad .

If Percy dies, then Annabeth will be sad for the whole rest of her life, and if Annabeth dies, Percy will be sad for the whole rest of his life.

They'd kill hemselves to be with each other, or a god would make them immortal.

well, (i hate myself for saying this!!!) maybe it would be better for a major character to die. but, just because we see Annabeth or Percy again doesn't mean they won't die. that thought makes me sad. no offense to him in any way, but Nico isn't a major character. and why do you all want the middle-major characters to die? they're cool too! why would you want Nico to die? he's really nice and cool!!! Deaths in the next series? - Page 2 Icon_sad

Oh, we didn't mean we wanted Nico to die... the fact that he could is a totally different matter. We don't want any of Percabeth to die, and we HOPE NOT, because then I will cry (and probably every1 else)... for real!!!!!! Deaths in the next series? - Page 2 Icon_pale That would be terribbbbbllle, and wouldn't you much rather have Nico die than Percy and/or Annabeth?

If that happens, THEN PERCABETH MUST BECOME IMMORTAL TOGETHER... or else! Deaths in the next series? - Page 2 Icon_evil

something really sad would be if Percy dies and he watches what everyone is doing as a ghost and how much everyone misses him, and maybe Annabeth might kill herself for Percy

Post by Veritas Mon Jan 18, 2010 9:53 am

My first bet would possibly be Thalia then some of the more minor characters. And here's why:

1. Nico has endeared himself by stepping out of his sister's shadow by becoming a major character in his own right. Coupled with what happened to his sister, I just don't see him as being killed off.

2. Even if Percy and/or Annabeth were to die, each of them have had such a heavy role in the events prior to this new series that I could see the Gods again offering them a position among them.

3. Even though Thalia has kind of stepped away from the spotlight and become more of a minor character in the most recent books, her death would be a catalyzing event for Percy, Annabeth, Nico, and everyone else she has been around heavily and would be a way to advance the plot.

4. Finally for the minor characters, it has to be seven half-bloods and these might not be any of the half-bloods we already know from the current series. Thus, if something started happening to the new residents of Camp Half-Blood early in the new book and they start dying off, then like with Thalia it could be used as a catalyzing event but this time it would affect people she may not.
