HUNGER GAMES

so has anyone heard of the hunger games? i havent read it, though my sis says its awesome!! i wanna read it. anyone know wht its about?? post a summary if u can or just discuss it!!

I've heard tons about it, and it sounds great, but I'm reading another series right now, and even if I wasn't, I'm practically broke at the moment.

aww well that sucxz. wow, i just realized that too; im broke and the public library is out of copies and so is our skool library. o but my sis has it on her ebook....

And how difficult would it be to convince her to let you read it?

I totally love it, and I know the book by heart, cause we're doing this book for a competition at our school & I owned at that!!! I love it it's definitely in my top 25 out of the thousands of books I've read.

I loved the first book (Hunger Games) and I am trying to get Catching Fire at my library but it is always checked out!! I hope to get it within the next week though!

there is a hunger games movie coming out next year, and i think it will be good but at the same time gross because the book was good but if you imagine seeing all the things that were in the book,well, kinda gross

I actually ship PeetaxMadge, but I just ship it because Peeta is my favorite boy character and Madge is my second favorite girl character. Rue is my favorite, but she's twelve, so...

This book was way better than PJO, in my humble opinion.

Here's how I would summarize it:
In a the future, in a land called Panem, there are twelve districts, all unfairly governed by the Capitol. Capitol thinks itself better than everyone else, so they periodically hold the Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is a televised event in which tributes (two people chosen from each district) fight to the death in an arena.

In District Twelve, there is a girl called Katniss, age sixteen. She has entered her name to be chosen for the Hunger Games several times in exchange for food for her family. Her twelve year-old sister, Prim, has only entered her name once, and only because it is required for twelve year-olds. So when her name is chosen everyone is shocked and disappointed. Why? Because Prim is the sweet, innocent little girl that everyone likes. Without realizing what she was doing, Katniss goes in instead of her sister.

Will Katniss make it through the Hunger Games, or will she be just another forgotten tribute?
