They are making the movies in the order that they were published.
The reason for the order is this: the order in which Narnia is best experienced, is the order of publication, pure and simple. If you have not read them yet, please try reading them, first, in the original order, and after that you can read them in whatever order that you'd like. Here's is this original order, by publication: 1950: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. 1951: Prince Caspian. 1952: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. 1953: The Silver Chair. 1954: The Horse and His Boy. 1955: The Magician's Nephew. 1956: The Last Battle.

The next movie they're making is the Voyage of the Dawn Treader. If they continue they will continue in that order.

I absolutely love the Chronicles of Narnia. My dad got the whole series when I was born. (hoping that I would read them) In 1st grade I finally read them and I loved them. For me a had to read them a couple times to fully understand because I was kind of young. I think my favorite book would be The Silver Chair because I think it is really cool that they go on this whole adventure underground.

The absolutely BEST book in the series was A Horse and His Boy. It's where I got my name (Pen Name). I don't know why I like it so much, I just do. Maybe because I...umm... Just read it, okay?

I don't think they'll make it a movie, though. Poor Shasta.

yeah, i really liked this one too. but, i think my favorite is... the lion, witch, and the wardrobe. i guess i like it because that is when the Golden Age occured, and it the later books, they refer it to the Goldne Age as the WAY past. i think this book set off the adventures, but i really, really liked the Horse and his Boy too.

Pendragon agrees with you that A Horse and His Boy is his favorite but mine is The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Out of interest how did you guys like The Horse and His boy? I found it particularly drab, if you ask me. (No offence to anyone who loved it) But, my favorite one by far is The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, then the magician's nephew, and then the lion, witch, and the wardrobe.

A Horse and His Boy was great. Shasta/Cor was the best. His character was just so innocent and naive. I liked Aravis, too. (See PenName.) Aravis was just this awesome person, stuck-up because she deserved to be. The Talking Horses were cool, too. Bree with his pride, and Hwin with her humbleness. I found Corin funny, too. He just knocks people down. GO UNNECESSARY VIOLENCE! (Please note: My saying this in no way says I enjoy unnecessary violence.)

AravisxShasta/Cor is one of my favorite shippings.

To correct Posidonsdaughter's previous statement, I love The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, but actually my fave is a tie between that abd Prince Caspian. The Horse and his Boy is close behind.

Yeah. I liked that book, even though I originally held off reading it. I liked the Marshwiggle (His name was Puddle or something, right?).

The Last Battle I held off reading, too, because it opened with a monkey and a donkey, and it didn't have people until you got into the book.

I liked the ending.
