Twilight really doesn't have much of a plot. 
Edwards beautiful, he saves Bella's life a billion times, she can't choose between necrophilia or beastitility and then a Disney ending.

I never finished the first book. I think Stephenie Meyer is too descriptive about things I don't care about.

I think the main annoying thing about Twilight is that now all these other authors are trying to match Twilight's success with the exact formula.

Actually thats my favorite part of it. My favorite parts of twilight and all books are always the characters interacting and the Character Development. I mean I do like the climax at the end of the books, but I always love the road to the cilmax more. Its seems odd I guess but thats just how it is with me.
I found the middle of twilight much more interesting than the end of it, same with new moon, eclipse, and breaking dawn.
