Actually hermes soothed Argus to sleep playing his lyre, when all the the monsters eyes had closed he swiped Arguse's head off.

Yes and no. My book says that first he played his lyre and got argus to close half of his eyes. THEN he told him a boring story and argus fell asleep. After that well, i told you that already he put him to an eternal sleep blah blah THEN Hera found out and put all of argus' eyes and put them on a peacock. HE DID NOT CHOP HIS HEAD OF!
