like in the test version? it was like that persues had to go and slash medusa's head off because it was in some prophecy and she was sleeping when he did it. He brought the head back to Olympus to prove that he wasn't going to kill anyone else, based on what the prophecy said.

and for the Arachne one, athena didn't even battle Arachne. she just turned her into a spider because she was jelouse.

No I mean how did Medusa get turned into a gorgon one.

oh they didn't say anything about that. they just told how persues killed her.

i like this one because it shows that god's have flaws just like humans

Yeah. That was also a product of Athena's rage. Except this one is respectable. In my opinion.

Yeah... She does get mad kinda often doesn't she... In the version of the myth I read, Athena told perseus to kill medusa... And then he did and she was happy.

In my version she got mad that she wasnt getting attention

Well she turned medusa into a gorgon because she was caught with posiedon in athena's temple.

That was the version in the books, but I think that some people have read different versions of the myth.

That's definently a possiblilty. Personally I have only heard it that way. But I totally get it.

yea, i guess she was curoise in the wrong place at the wrong time- happens to me all the time...

anyways i liked that myth too. I liked the myth of the Trojan Horse (http://atschool.eduweb.co.uk/carolrb/greek/greek1.html- where i found it). it was a clever plan to rescue Queen Helen.

i cant' see the myth.

As far as being curious...I'm extremely curious. And I think it can be positve or negative. Clearly for Pandora it was mostly negative... but she saved Hope right?...so I suppose it depends on the situation,.
