I also like the Arachnae one. It proves how...self centered the goddesses can be. Arachnae was better at weaving then Athena..and it was wrong of her to challenge Athena..but Athena made her a stinkin spider...harsh right? Athena just couldnt accept that someone was better than her. No offence intended.
I also like the story of Perseus and Medusa. Good stuff.

Re: What's you're favorite greek myth?
Hey, that Arachne chick was asking for it... Going along bragging that she was so amazing and all... Jeez, but couldn't Athena turn her into something else? I hate spiders... And I like the Perseus myth too, especially the part where he goes to the apples or whatever and those nymphs are there guardin them, they seem like cool people... Basically they lure people in with their amazing charm and make them drink and have lots of...fun...till they die... Yeah, sounds real happy, right? Haha that was a fun part to read in my mythology book.

Re: What's you're favorite greek myth?
yeah well like I said it was wrong of Arachnae to brag...but Athena was waaayyy to harsh. Too bad Zeus didnt interfere...hes beast:) Arachnae was better than Athena...Athena even admitted it...but nobody else could know that someone was better than her..so she made her a spider. I think its wrong is all.

Re: What's you're favorite greek myth?
I did a Language Arts's assignment on this myth, and i think that Athena was a bit too harsh on Arachne, but i also think that she was asking for it, bragging and all. I thought she should have done something less... harsh, like put a curse on her or something

Re: What's you're favorite greek myth?
Yeah, the spider thing was a bit harsh... She couldve just made Arachne lose her fingers so she could never weave again or something... I guess ur right, the spider thing was too much... But I still think Athena is beast

Wasn't it just that Athena caught Medusa with Posiden in her Temple, and then the 2 other sisters tried to stop Athena and help Medusa, so in her Rage and Rashness she turned all 3 of them into Gorgons?

Re: What's you're favorite greek myth?
yea there are different versions, but i think thats the original one. like i was reading this myth on my finals (i know weirdest place to get a myth) and it said the myth about Medusa and Persues. and how persues went into her lair, and then it was like another version of Arachne and Athena on another page. they were all different versions/
