Luke loved Annabeth as a little sister - from the heart. He wanted to be family. Because of the lack of one in his life. Annabeth loved Luke as a brother at first and then as she matured her feelings intensivfied. That is why she always blushed and looked at him intensely, that Percy noticed from the beginning. Luke's brotherly feelings towards Annabeth is what made him want to protect her at the end.

I thinked that over time annabeth started to like luke as more as an older brother but when she was youger may have loved him. I think that luke always loved her as family or as a little sister. I think that annabeth liked liked percy though and luke just as family.

yea thats true i also think that luke was trying to fall for her but then he truned evil then at the last book, his feeling returned but annabeth considered him as family

But yeah in the end she chose Percy

SPOILER ALERT FOR TLO: i guess Annabeth could still like Luke as family even though he did die in TLO. he died as a hero. if you think about it...... but anyways, i think they did love each other at a point, but that love kind of shortened or turned into family type love. so yeah.....

Luke only ever loved her as family. You see that in the flash backs. By the time she was maturing he was already bitter towards Hermes, for his failed quest. And then Kronos go to his heart.

I think you can speculate about this all you want but I am going by what is in black and white.

I can't pretend to be a master of the affairs of the heart, but deep down, I do think Annabeth truly loved Luke --for a while. Once he went sour, I think those true love feelings decreased drastically. The whole love situation between Percy, Annabeth, and Luke was a near Greek love tragedy.

I think that she might've loved him, for a long time, but that was only skin deep. I think that deep down she only considered him like family, and loved him like family, but never like love love.

I like the idea of a greek love tragedy. She was little and looked up to Luke, that developed into a crush; blushing ets and then turned when he turned. She still defended him (in hope of a miracle) but could not join him (San Francisco).

I think that Annabeth really did love Luke, but I don't think that Luke loved her back. This may just be my view, but I think that Luke might have had a thing for Thalia.

that is much more probable, Luke having feelings for Thalia. Think about it dad,mom, & child; Luke, Thalia, and Annabeth. Luke wanted a family that wouldn't fail him.
